Rolex took a step forward in the history of watchmaking by launching the “Oyster Perpetual Sky Dweller” in 2012 and protected it by 14 patents. The Oyster Perpetual Sky Dweller features a dual time zone that is intuitive to read and simple to use. The combined display of local time via watch hands and reference time via an off-center disc makes the Sky Dweller easy to read and endows it with unique aesthetics.

The first Rolex with two time zones and an innovative annual calendar that offers unparalleled robustness and reliability for such a complex watchmaking function. Staying in touch would have never been this imperative for the travelers before this. This beauty comes with some incredible features and is a compelling time piece of revolutionary design that blends to perfect the mechanism of sophistication and ease of use. Rolex is presenting three new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller. In 18 ct yellow, white and Everose gold in a 42 mm case, they expand the existing collection by introducing new exclusive dials combined with new combinations of bracelets and leather straps.

It allows travellers to adjust the watch to different time zones, while maintaining a constant, clear display of reference time – the time at home or at their usual place of work. This iconic piece is equipped with a rotatable Ring Command bezel that allows the wearer to quickly and easily select the watch’s different functions via an innovative, patented interface between the movement and case. You can operate the changing of date, local time and second time zone by turning the fluted ring bezel to one of the three positions respectively and make adjustments by winding the crown. It automatically displays the correct date throughout the year- needing only one adjustment on 1st March(as February has only 28 or 29 days). The second time zone is displayed in 24-hour format to differentiate between day and night in the reference time zone. Functional setting of this sophisticated model is extremely simple and unique.
